This is an established, authoritative one-day event that brings together private and public-sector leaders and key stakeholders to debate and exchange ideas.

THEME FOR 2019

‘Build to Rent in Scotland – Still Game?’

Building on the success of the previous four conferences and tangible progress in the market, this year’s theme reflects the fact that in spite of the challenges around planning and funding, BTR in Scotland has made sound progress and the pipeline is growing.

It is fair to say that some Cities and Local Authorities are more readily embracing BTR than others and there are still issues around the perception and fit of BTR in the housing mix.

This year’s BTR Forum will take place in Glasgow, which has been hugely successful in attracting major BTR developers and investors into the city.

The conference will explore what is happening on the ground? How well are policy and planning are working? What are the experiences of the major BTR developers in getting schemes off the ground in Scotland? What are the prospects for the region? Are Public, Private Partnerships the route to delivering affordable rented homes? How well does BTR stacks up? We will also be looking at design, mobilisation and technology!
